My Head In The Cloud

As a child I constantly had my head in the cloud daydreaming about the characters from the latest book I had read. Fast forward 20 years and although I am now a 'grown up' teacher I still have my head in the cloud. Although this a slightly different cloud, it is still only limited by imagination (and bandwidth). 

I teach in a small school in Sydney that uses Google Apps For Education. Students in Years 4, 5 and 6 are able to bring a chromebook to school for use in their learning. It is amazing how the borders and constraints of the classroom diminish with the addition of technology. Technology helps to make that cloud slightly more tangible and brings it that little bit closer.

Hopefully this blog will become a repository of practical teaching and learning activities based in the cloud, based not only on my experience but also ideas from other great cloud educators.
